We couldn’t be more psyched. The festival is shaping to be one of the best CUFF iterations yet, for example:
1. JONAS MEKAS coming to receive a CUFF lifetime achievement award, present a program of his films “Life is Unpredictable”, and give Q&A following the midwest premier of Chuck Workman’s doc “Visionaries: Jonas Mekas and the (Mostly) American Avant-Garde”;
2. Two heavy-looking takes on the post-industrial American city, Kevin Jerome Everson’s “Erie” and Matt Porterfield’s “Putty Hill”;
3. New work by George Kuchar, Guy Madden, Laurel Nakadate;
4. A plethora of shorts by the shining stars of Chicago’s experimental film/video scene: Melika Bass, Bill Brown, Jim Finn, Lori Felker, Kent Lambert, Jesse Mclean, Jennifer Reeder, Alexander Stewart, Deborah Stratman, the list goes on and on…
See you there!
Excellent concept, I wish I was able to make a screening, I hope there is one in Chicago again soon.
